Savannah Lynn was born in Gainesville, Florida, and grew up in High Springs, Florida. Her love affair with words began when she started reading at just 2.5 years old. By age 4, her adoration for reading and her wild imagination morphed her passion from reading to writing. She won her first poetry contest at age 5. Then at age 13, when her father passed away, writing quickly became not only a way to express her emotions, but an escape from reality. The concept of creating alternative universes became her favorite thing to do, prompting her to attempt her first novel The Story of Mags at age 15. This was never published due to her acceptance of a dual enrollment program at Santa Fe College. Along with The Story of Mags, she had a book concept that would eventually become To Lose a Penny. However, she knew that at 15 she didn’t yet have the experience or maturity to do the story justice. So, she shifted her focus to schooling and was a full-time college student by age 16. Which is when she started her second novel Imaginary. At age 18, she transferred to Middle Tennessee State University and moved to Tennessee. She completed her Bachelors degree at age 21 in 2018, a year and a half ahead of her class. She self-published Imaginary the same year. Then in early 2019, at age 22, she decided it was time to begin the two-year process of writing To Lose a Penny. Which was her first commercially published novel and was released in, November 2021.
